Sector 18 -- is it too noisy for retirees?

Sector 18 keeps popping up as an option, but I'm worried about the noise levels. Kids have moved out, and we're selling our big house in Delhi. Looking for something manageable, maybe a 2BHK. Saw some flats near the metro, good connectivity is a must, especially for hospital visits. Honestly not sure if I can handle the traffic and crowds all the time. Heard it's a commercial hub, matlab lots of restaurants and shops, which is good, but also lots of people. Resale of our current property is key, so I don't want to make a bad investment. Has anyone actually lived there? Is it quiet inside the societies? Am I the only one concerned about this?
