Overall, 18D has potential, but it's not without its challenges. Hospital access is manageable, but not 'next door' for emergencies unless you pick a very specific spot. Maintenance is the real killer. My advice: talk to existing residents, not just the sales team. They'll give you the real picture. And factor in future hikes in your budget. Don't get swayed by initial low quotes, they rarely last.

Current market conditions in Chandigarh are tricky. Builders are pushing hard to clear inventory. Don't rush into anything. Negotiate maintenance aggressively, it's often overlooked.

I visited a couple of projects in 18D last month. For hospital access, Max Hospital in New Chandigarh is also an option, maybe 25-30 mins. Maintenance charges are usually ₹3-4 per sq ft for decent societies. But some new ones are quoting ₹5+ with all the amenities. Make sure you get a clear breakdown and check their RWA track record. Don't just go by what the sales guy says.
