posted on 19 MaySector 18D: What's the real deal with monsoon and parking?
Budget finalised, loan pre-approved — now stuck on Sector 18D. I'm looking at a 3BHK there, but my parents keep saying monsoon waterlogging is a big issue. Also, what's the real traffic situation like during peak hours near the sector? Is parking actually enough or is it a daily battle for residents? Would love to hear actual experiences.

Bhai, you're not wrong at all. My uncle lives in a nearby sector, not exactly 18D but adjacent, and last monsoon, his basement parking was a swimming pool for a couple of days. So your parents' concerns are totally valid. Sector 18D is relatively new but drainage can be an issue in these developing areas.
Totally agree with this. I've heard similar stories about Manimajra too, especially the newer parts. Builders promise the moon but ground reality is different when it rains
