posted on 5 MaySector 24C water supply is a daily nightmare
Just moved to Sector 24C last month and the water supply is genuinely shocking. We barely get municipal water for a few hours daily, then it's borewell which isn't great. Honestly, things nobody told me before buying. Is this normal here? What are others doing for consistent water, or did I miss something crucial?

Sahi keh rahe ho, this is not just 24C. I live in a project near Mullanpur Garibdass and same story. Municipal water is a joke, mostly relying on borewell. Builder ne toh promises bade bade kiye the, ki 24/7 supply hoga. But reality is different. We even have a water tanker coming sometimes. Did you check your RERA documents for water supply clauses, if any specific details were mentioned?
Haan, RERA mein sab golmol hota hai. 'Adequate' is such a vague term, it means nothing when you
Same here with my project in New Chandigarh. The RERA agreement mentioned 'potable water supply' but no details on source. We are paying extra for water tankers now because the borewell isn't enough. Builders play with words, we definitely need to be more careful and ask specific questions.
RERA documents are so complex, yaar. My lawyer just skimmed through them and said 'all good'. I specifically remember a clause about 'adequate water supply' but it didn't specify municipal vs borewell or timings. This is what makes it tough for us first-timers. We trust the paper, but ground reality is so different, it's frustrating.
Yaar, I almost booked a flat there last year, but my broker warned me about the water. He said it's a known issue in some newly developing sectors. Did you not check the builder's reputation for utilities before buying?
Exactly! Who thinks to ask about borewell vs municipal water when buying? It's assumed to be good. Builder details are often vague on this, they never specify the source properly.
Honestly, as a first-time buyer, I relied on what the sales team told me. They showed us pamphlets promising excellent facilities. Water supply was never highlighted as a potential issue. Ab toh lag raha hai sab marketing gimmick tha, we just trusted them.
Oh god, this is exactly what I'm hearing from my friends who bought in 24C too. Bahut sunne mein aa raha hai paani ka issue wahan, it's not just you.
