Sector 50 power cuts are a total rip-off

My landlord just increased rent again, so I'm finally serious about buying in Chandigarh. Budget finalised, loan pre-approved — looking at Sector 50. But I'm hearing so many stories about power cuts there, especially during summers. It's frustrating to think about paying high EMIs only to deal with unreliable electricity. What's the ground reality? And are the RWA maintenance charges actually worth it for DG backup that barely works? Seriously fed up of renting but don't want to jump into another headache.
