Moved into my flat in Sector 50 last month after possession in March. Overall, area acha hai, bilkul. But kuch daily life cheezein pakka poochhna tha. Water supply thodi erratic lag rahi hai, mostly borewell pe dependency hai. Not sure if it's just my block. Aur parking ka bhi issue hai, especially evenings mein. Kya sabka yahi experience hai yahan? Any hidden costs ya maintenance issues mile hain kya yahan ke residents ko?

Actually, Sector 50 mein prices kaafi badhe hain recently, market conditions ki wajah se. Log investment ke liye bhi le rahe hain. Par agar basic amenities hi theek nahi toh kya fayda? Kya kisi ko builder se is baare mein koi assurance mili hai water supply ke liye, ki kab tak proper connection aayega?
Humein toh bas RERA ka naam sunake chup kara dete hain. Koi sunta hi nahi, lagta hai khud hi solution nikalna padega.
U5, you're right, if basics aren't there, what's the point? I heard some societies in New Chandigarh are getting better municipal water supply now, maybe because of better planning. For Sector 50, I'd suggest forming a residents' welfare association (RWA) and pushing the builder collectively. Individual complaints often fall on deaf ears.
Assurance? Lol. Builders bas promises karte hain. Maine toh apne builder se poocha tha, they just said 'we are working on it'. Koi concrete plan nahi bataya, bas taal-matol karte rehte hain.
Parking toh aisa lagta hai Olympic sport hai shaam ko. Roz wahi jhamela! Kabhi socha nahi tha ki ghar lene ke baad gaadi park karne mein bhi itni tension hogi.
Dekho, Sector 50 mein infrastructure abhi develop ho raha hai, that's the main issue. Water aur parking issues are known. My cousin bought a flat here 2 years back, aur usko bhi same problems face hue. Hidden costs toh builders ki speciality hai! Make sure you check your maintenance agreement very carefully. Sometimes they include charges for amenities that aren't even fully functional yet. Meri advice hai ki builder se written mein lo sab kuch, verbal promises pe bilkul trust mat karna.
Yaar, maine toh booking ke time hi suna tha water supply ka. Builders sirf borewell pe depend karte hain, municipal supply ka pata nahi kab aayegi. Parking ka issue toh har jagah hai, but Sector 50 mein kuch zyada hi lagta hai. Koi maintenance charges ka idea hai kitne hote hain yahan?
Totally. Hidden costs are a nightmare. Read the fine print always, ya fir kisi lawyer se dikhwa lo booking se pehle.
U8, sahi keh rahe ho. Mera builder toh 'club membership' ke naam pe bhi extra le raha tha, which was supposed to be included as per brochure. Pura dimaag kharab ho gaya tha negotiate karte karte, lagta hai builders ka yahi plan hota hai.
Maintenance charges depend on the society, but typically it's ₹2.5-3.5 per sqft here. Usme common area electricity, security, lift maintenance, etc. cover hota hai. But sometimes they add a 'sinking fund' or 'corpus fund' separately. Make sure to get a clear breakup. And yes, water tanker charges are extra if borewell fails, which happens often. It's a significant hidden cost.
Bhai, totally agree with the water issue. Hum bhi Sector 50 mein hain, same problem. Lagta hai common hai, sirf hamare block ka nahi.
Exactly, mere block mein bhi same scene hai. Tanker mangwana padta hai kabhi-kabhi, aur uska bill alag se! Kya karein?
Haan bhai, mere friend ne Manimajra mein liya tha, wahan bhi initial mein water issues the. But builder ne baad mein fix kar diya. Yahan Sector 50 mein toh lagta hai sab ko hi face karna pad raha hai, bahut frustrating hai.
