Sector 6 metro commute: Real experience vs. what they tell you

Possession was in March for my Sector 6 flat, and I just shifted. Metro connectivity sounds awesome on paper, but I've realized the last-mile from Vaishali station can be a pain. Auto wale peak hours mein bohot charge karte hain. I'm looking for some hacks. Does anyone have a specific e-rickshaw route or shared auto point jo time aur paisa bachaye?
