Sector 60 residents: daily life ground reality?
Just moved into my 3BHK in Sector 60 last month and it's been a ride. Possession was in March, aur abhi settle ho raha hoon. Overall vibe toh theek hai, society ka community feel achha lag raha. Par yaar, daily commute for office is a bit tricky, especially near Golf Course Ext. Road during peak hours. Traffic ka toh haal bura hai, matlab things nobody told me before buying! Also, power cuts ka scene kya hai yahan? Last week do-teen baar gaya light. DG backup toh hai, but still, electricity reliability kaisi hai long term? Pani ka bhi thoda concern hai, mostly borewell pe chal raha, municipal supply ka kya future hai? Aur night safety, especially for women and families, kaisa hai? Any long-term residents can share their first-hand experience on these points?

Market conditions ki baat karein toh, Sector 60 mein prices thode stable hue hain recently after a big jump. But these infra issues like traffic and water are definitely impacting rental yields and future appreciation. My agent was pushing for a quick buy, but I'm holding off. Current real estate market in Gurugram, especially in new sectors, feels a bit overheated.
Safety ka kya scene hai? Especially for women returning late from office? Society ke andar toh theek hai, but outside, like near local markets or bus stops? My sister is moving here and she's worried.
Society ke bahar thoda dhyan rakhna padta hai. Overall theek hai, but I wouldn't recommend walking alone too late. Cab ya private transport better hai. Basai ki taraf toh abhi bhi thoda isolated feel hota hai raat mein.
I've been living in Sector 60 for almost 5 years now, moved here when it was still developing. Traffic has definitely worsened but the new flyovers near SPR have helped a bit, though not completely solved it. Power cuts are less frequent than 3-4 years ago, thanks to some grid upgrades, but still happen. Water is still a major concern, we rely heavily on borewell and tankers. Night safety has improved a lot, though. More families have moved in, more shops are open late, and society security is usually good. Just avoid isolated stretches post 10 PM, which is true for most developing areas.
Thanks for the long-term perspective! That's really helpful. Kya aapko lagta hai ki aage infrastructure aur sudhrega? Ya development is area mein slow ho gaya hai? I'm looking at properties closer to Baharampur Naya, but Sector 60 seems more established.
Power cuts and water supply are my biggest concerns too! I'm planning to book in a project near Sector 60, but yeh sunke darr lag raha hai. DG backup kitni der chalta hai? Aur borewell ka paani quality wise kaisa hai? Koi batao yaar, future mein municipal supply aane ka chance kitna hai? Builder bolta hai sab set hai, but I don't trust them.
My friend lives in a society in Sector 60 too, and they're facing the same water issue. They even got a notice from the RWA about conserving water because borewell levels are dropping. This is definitely something to consider before buying, especially with Gurugram's water table issues.
Municipal supply ka toh koi fixed timeline nahi hai. Builder bas bolte rehte hain. It's a gamble.
DG backup usually theek rehta hai, 2-3 ghante toh chal jaata hai easily. But haan, power cuts toh hain. Water quality for borewell is generally hard. We use a good RO system. Municipal supply ka promise toh sab karte hain, but I've been here 3 years and abhi tak toh wait hi kar rahe hain. Nearby societies like in Badshahpur also face similar issues.
Bhai, you've hit the nail on the head! Sector 60 mein traffic ka haal sach mein bura hai. Meri society bhi thodi andar hai, but Golf Course Extension tak pahunchne mein hi 15-20 min lag jaate hain peak hours mein. I bought my 2BHK here last year, hoping for better infra, but it's still a mess. Nobody tells you about the daily grind parts.
Sahi keh rahe ho. Mera office Cyber Hub mein hai, aur wahan tak pahunchne mein ek ghanta lag jaata hai. Pehle Airport Road (Gurgaon side) pe rehta tha, wahan se bhi traffic tha but this is something else. Builder ne toh connectivity ke bade sapne dikhaye the, but ground reality alag hai. Ab toh lagta hai kaash thoda aur research kar leta.
Exactly! Golf Course Ext. Road par subah 8-10 baje aur shaam ko 6-8 baje toh hell hai. Lagta hai gaadi parking mein hi khadi hai. Sochta hoon ab cycle le loon office ke liye lol, but it's too far.
