posted on 4 AprSector 86 residents: is the water supply reliable?
Just moved into a new society in Sector 86 last month. The water supply situation is honestly a bit concerning. We're getting municipal water, but there are frequent disruptions. Seems like tanker dependency is pretty high. Has anyone else faced this? Also, what about power cuts? Experienced a few already. Is it usually this bad, or just a temporary thing? Exactly! U19 is right. A residents' association is crucial. Has anyone started one in ABC Residency yet? That's the first step to solving these issues.
U20, There is one, but it's not very effective tbh. Mostly just WhatsApp forwards and no real action.
U1, True. The existing RWA is more of a formality. Need active members who are willing to fight for our rights.
U5, I'm willing to volunteer. Count me in. We need to be the change we want to see.
U8, Great! Let's connect and discuss this further. Maybe we can start a petition or something.
Rainwater harvesting is a good idea. But it requires space and investment. Not all societies are willing to do that. Also, it's only effective during the monsoon season.
Anyone know if there are any upcoming infrastructure projects planned for Sector 86? Maybe a new water pipeline or a power substation?
Last I heard, there was a proposal for a new water treatment plant. But it's been pending for ages. Don't hold your breath.
So, what's the solution then? Should we just keep relying on tankers and inverters? This is not the Noida we were promised!
We need to put pressure on the builder and the Noida Authority. Organize a residents' meeting and decide on a course of action. United we stand!
I bought a flat in Sector 86 three years ago, hoping for good returns. Now, I'm stuck with these water and power issues. Market bhi itna acha nahi hai abhi. Considering selling it off.
U10, Sector 150 is doing much better. New metro line is a big advantage. Rates are higher, but at least the infrastructure is better. Maybe consider shifting there?
Sector 150 is expensive yaar! Avg rate is around 7k/sqft now. Sector 86 is relatively more affordable, that's why many people are buying here. But infrastructure needs to improve.
U12, affordable is relative. If you factor in the tanker costs and the hassle of dealing with water shortages, is it really that affordable? Think long term.
My parents live in Sector 86. They installed a rainwater harvesting system. It helps a bit, but it's not a complete solution. Maybe your society can consider that?
We're in ABC Residency. Water is supplied only for a few hours in the morning and evening. The rest of the time, we rely on tankers. It's ridiculous! Power cuts are also a pain. Inverter backup is a must.
ABC Residency? I heard their construction quality is also not great. My friend lives there and he's always complaining about seepage issues.
U6, Seepage toh Noida mein har society mein hai bhai! It's the soil and the rapid construction. But water issue is more critical. What's the point of owning a house if you don't have basic necessities?
Has anyone tried complaining to the Noida Authority? Maybe they can do something about the water supply issue. We need to be proactive.
Noida Authority? Good luck with that! They're usually slow to respond. But it's worth a try, I guess. Unity is strength! We should all complain together.
Sector 86? Haan, water supply is a major issue. We've been facing this for almost a year now. Power cuts are also frequent, especially during summers. Which society are you in?
Totally agree yaar! Sector 86 mein infrastructure is still developing. Builder ne toh bade bade waade kiye the, but reality is different. Tanker mafia is thriving here.
Bhai, which builder? That matters a lot. Some builders are notorious for this. Check your society's water storage capacity also. Maybe that's the issue.
U3, good point. Builder ka naam batao. Also, check the RERA registration number and see if there are any complaints filed against them already.
