Thinking of upgrading near Sector 9. Heard water supply is patchy. Already have a home loan, so resale matters. Is the tanker situation manageable, or should I look elsewhere? What's your experience?

Check the borewell depth and capacity of the society. That's a good indicator of their water independence.
Water is a big issue, but the location advantages of Sector 9 are undeniable. Direct connectivity to Delhi and other parts of Noida.
So, OP, what did you decide? Are you still considering Sector 9, or have you looked at other options?
Rising property rates are a concern everywhere. So, if you like the location and can manage with tankers, Sector 9 might still be worth considering.
Ultimately, it's a personal decision. Weigh the pros and cons and see what works best for you. Good luck!
I lived in Sector 9 for 5 years. Water was always an issue, especially during summers. We had to rely on tankers most of the time. It's manageable, but not ideal.
What's the price range you're looking at? That will help narrow down the options.
Don't forget to factor in the maintenance charges. Some societies charge exorbitant rates for water and other amenities.
Honestly, if resale is important, I'd avoid Sector 9. Newer sectors are a better bet in the long run.
Check the RERA registration details online. See if there are any pending complaints against the builder or the project. That's a good starting point.
If resale is a major concern, look at properties near the metro line. That will always be a plus point.
Sector 9 is good for connectivity. But water is a legitimate concern. Weigh the pros and cons carefully.
Possession status kya hai project ka? If it's already delayed, water problems are the least of your worries.
Good point U17! Delayed possession means potential legal hassles and more financial burden.
Exactly! Builder ne phir se date extend kar diya lol. Ab toh hasi aati hai.
Mera bhi same experience tha 2 years ago. I was looking at Sector 11. Water was a major issue. Ended up buying in Sector 75. Slightly more expensive, but peace of mind.
Tanker manageable hai? Bhai, it's a pain! Especially in summers. Constant noise, dependence on the tanker guy... not worth it if you can avoid it.
U10, totally agree. That tanker mafia is a real thing! They charge whatever they want.
Haan yaar, and the quality of water from the tanker is also questionable. I've heard stories of people getting sick.
Which builder are you looking at? Builder ka track record is very important. Some builders promise everything but deliver nothing.
Sector 9 mein water issue? Bhai, it's Noida! Kahani ghar ghar ki. Seriously though, it depends on the society. Which one are you looking at? Some are better than others. Tanker toh standard procedure hai yahan.
Exactly U1! Noida and water problems are like chai and biscuit. Inseparable. But yeah, society matters a lot. Some have better borewell setups.
U1, sahi kaha yaar. 'Kahani ghar ghar ki' – too true! Which society, OP? Knowing that will help us give better advice.
Don't blindly believe what you hear. Visit the society at different times of the day and see for yourself. Talk to residents. That's the only way to get a real picture.
Sector 9 is pretty old, so infrastructure is definitely a concern. But the location is prime, right? So it's a trade-off.
Upgrade kar rahe ho and already have a loan? Resale is a valid concern. Maybe look at newer sectors like 7x or 150? Better infrastructure, though prices are higher.
7x is a good option but commute to Delhi can be a pain during peak hours. 150 is still developing, a lot of construction going on.
U6, resale ka toh scene hi tight hai. Interest rates are so high, people are hesitant to buy. Better to rent, I think.
