My family's pushing me to invest in Pune this year, looking at Shivajinagar specifically. I'm based in Dubai, so a site inspection is tough. Heard about its railway connectivity, but what's the actual ground reality for rental demand and resale? Do properties hold value given the older infrastructure? And water supply ka kya scene hai? Tanker dependency kitni hai? For an NRI, managing property remotely is a big concern, especially with things like water. Is it a good long-term bet for appreciation and smooth rental management without me being there?

Yaar, water supply in Shivajinagar is a genuine concern, especially in older parts. Tanker dependency is real for many societies there, I've heard stories. For an NRI, managing that from Dubai will be a
Shivajinagar for NRI? Bhai, remote management is a headache. My cousin tried it in Viman Nagar, ended up selling because of constant issues with tenants and repairs. Think twice before diving in, especially with older properties.
It's not always a headache if you have the right setup. My uncle manages his flat in Akurdi from Canada. He uses a well-reputed property management firm, pays them a bit extra, but gets peace of mind. The key is due diligence on the PM company and regular video calls with them, otherwise it's a mess.
Totally agree! Property managers can be unreliable. They promise the moon but deliver nothing. Especially with tenants, they just want quick commission and don't care about your property's upkeep.
