Six months in Bengaluru — my 2BHK dilemma
Six months I've been looking for a 2BHK in Bengaluru, especially after the kids moved out. Don't need such a big place anymore, so selling our old home. My budget is ₹80L-1.5Cr for something in the 'New Launch Projects' corridor. Main priority is a good society, elevator, low maintenance, and hospital nearby. I'm torn between Orchid Residences and Maple Towers. Orchid seems a bit pricier at ₹1.3Cr, but amenities achhe hain. Maple Towers is around ₹95L, a little further but seems decent value. Both are 2BHK. What's the community's general take on these new launches? Which one would you pick for a comfortable, manageable home?

Hey, I totally get your dilemma! I'm also looking for a 2BHK and these new launch prices are just insane these days in Bengaluru. Orchid Residences sounds good with amenities, especially if you're looking for that comfort after kids moved out, but 1.3 Cr is quite a jump from 95L for Maple. Have you checked the per sqft rate for both, and what about the actual usable carpet area? Sometimes, the super built-up area can be very misleading and you end up paying a lot for common spaces.
