Sobha Crescent security: What they don't tell you
Sobha Crescent keeps coming up every time I shortlist something for our 3BHK upgrade. We visited last weekend, and honestly, the security systems are something you really need to look into. They showcase all the CCTVs and access cards, but I was talking to a resident there, and he mentioned how visitor management is still pretty manual for daily help, which feels a bit off for a 'premium' society. My wife's priority is the kids' safety, especially with school admissions coming up. I'm wondering if those fancy gates really mean anything if the visitor screening isn't super tight. Is it just for show, or do guards actually verify every unknown person? What's the real ground reality for societies like this? Hope someone has tips on what questions to ask during site visits about actual security protocols.

During site visits, don't just get swayed by the fancy clubhouse. Ask for a live demo of visitor entry/exit for daily help
Kids' safety is paramount. If visitor management is manual and depends solely on guard verification, it's a big red flag for me. We need something more robust.
Bhai, this project is too expensive for such basic security issues. ₹4.7 Cr – ₹7.2 Cr and possession in 2033? That's almost a decade away! With property prices in Gurugram fluctuating so much, locking funds for so long with security concerns is a huge risk. What if the builder delays further? We need guarantees beyond just a fancy brochure.
I visited a project in Baharampur Naya last month, they also had this 'manual' system for domestic help entry. It felt very risky, especially with kids around.
While the long possession is concerning, Sobha usually delivers quality. For such large-scale projects, especially with premium amenities, a longer timeline isn't unheard of. My friend booked in another Sobha project near Airport Road, and while it was delayed, the end product was excellent. But yes, security should be top-notch from day one, no compromises.
You hit the nail on the head. Current market conditions in Gurgaon are very sensitive to project delays. Buyers are already wary after so many extensions in other projects. This long possession date is a huge deterrent for first-time buyers like us.
Exactly my fear! My cousin lives in a society near Badshahpur, and they had a similar issue with delivery guys just walking in. Is the RERA number for Sobha Crescent even updated? I couldn't find it easily when I checked.
Wait, the RERA date is 2026, but possession is 2033? That's a massive red flag. Builders often extend possession but this gap is too much. Is this common practice or something we should be worried about?
U3, RERA number is RC/REP/HARERA/GGM/1054/786/2026/26. It shows validity till 2026. But the possession date they're giving is 2033. Confusing!
Totally relate! I've seen this in so many 'premium' projects. Fancy gates, but the actual security is a joke sometimes, especially with daily help.
