Just moved into my 2BHK near Golf Course Road last month, possession was in March. NRI Builders se liya tha. Honestly, the final stamp duty amount gave me a proper heart attack. Mera flat approx ₹1.8 Cr ka tha. Brochure mein toh bas unit price dikhate hain, but registration ke time jo extra laga, woh bilkul unexpected tha. Broker ne casually mention kiya tha, like 5-7% of property value, but actual figure was way higher than I budgeted. Yeh sab hidden costs hain jo koi batata nahi upfront, especially for first-time buyers like me. Matlab, is there any way to negotiate this, ya phir yeh Government ka fixed cut hai jo builders/brokers purposefully hide karte hain? Did anyone else face this surprise after buying in Sohna? What did you do to manage this financial hit, ya koi solution hai?
