I bought a 3BHK resale in Sohna, near Baharampur Naya, last year. Negotiation was tough, managed only about 3% off the asking price. But the society was well-maintained and builder reputation was good. My advice: don't just look at DLF, explore other good builders too who have delivered on time in the past.
Floor-rise premium for safety, I totally agree! Humne bhi apne kids ke liye high floor liya tha. Ground floor pe security issues zyada lagte hain, especially for young children playing outside. Mental peace milti hai, though it pinches the pocket for sure.
Convenience is key. Lift issues ya power cuts mein high floor pe phas jaoge.

DLF ka track record toh theek hai, but Sohna mein unke prices kaafi high hote hain.
