Not gonna lie, moving to Sohna Road (Sectors 70-90) in Mohali last month has been a real eye-opener. I thought it'd be smoother. The daily commute, even just within the sectors, can be a pain during peak hours; roads aren't always great, especially near the upcoming Global City work. Honestly, the water supply is my biggest concern. We get municipal water, but the pressure isn't consistent, and I'm hearing whispers about borewell dependency in some pockets. That wasn't clear when I bought my 3BHK for around ₹1.8 Cr. Has anyone else experienced these issues? What's the RWA doing about it? Or am I just overthinking things after living here for only a few weeks? Any advice on managing this?

It's tough, I empathize with the original poster. It sounds like a common issue with new developments. For now, maybe focus on escalating the water issue collectively through the RWA. Have you tried reaching out to other residents in your tower/society to form a group? A collective voice might be stronger.
U9, sahi baat hai. Collective action hi best option hai ab. Humne bhi yahi kiya tha apne society mein.
This whole situation is a classic example of what's happening in the Gurugram peripheral areas. Property prices have shot up significantly post-pandemic, but infrastructure development is lagging. While 1.8 Cr might seem like a good deal compared to central Gurugram, for this price, you could have considered a slightly smaller unit in an established sector closer to Airport Road (Gurgaon side) with better civic amenities. The market is just too hyped right now.
Dekho bhai, 1.8 Cr for 3BHK in Sectors 70-90 is a decent amount, but due diligence is key. Brochures will always paint a rosy picture. Did you check the master plan for road widening, or speak to existing residents before buying? These areas are still developing, especially with the Global City project, so some growing pains are expected. You can't expect fully established infrastructure overnight.
Exactly, U6. Builders ka toh yeh standard practice hai. RERA bhi sometimes doesn't help much. Buyer beware!
U5, I get your point about due diligence, but for first-time buyers, it's not always easy to know what to look for. Builders hide these issues very well. And 'growing pains' shouldn't include inconsistent water supply and broken roads when you're paying such a premium!
Bhai, water pressure is a real issue. Humare yahan Sector 83 mein bhi subah shaam bahut low pressure aata hai. Kya aapne builder ya RWA se baat ki hai is baare mein? Unka kya kehna hai?
Haan, water issue is widespread across Sohna Road. My uncle lives near Badshahpur and even there they face similar problems, sometimes borewell water is the only option for days. The quality isn't great either. For 1.8 Cr, this kind of basic amenity problem is just unacceptable. Builder ne toh sab promises kiye the.
U2, maine bhi builder ko call kiya tha, woh bolte hain municipal supply hai, hum kya kar sakte hain. RWA abhi form ho rahi hai theek se, toh unse kuch khaas response nahi mila abhi tak. Sab ek dusre pe daal rahe hain.
Yaar, same pinch! I bought a 2BHK in Sector 75 last year and the commute to Cyber City is a nightmare daily. Lagta hai sab brochures mein hi accha dikhta hai.
