Spent the whole Sunday checking out options in South Extension I. Kids have moved out, so we're selling our big house and looking for a compact flat. Honestly, the rental market is making me rethink everything. Log bol rahe hain rent 30-40% upar gaya hai pichle do saal mein. Matlab, is this even justified? Will it stabilise? If I invest in a smaller place, will the rental yield make sense, ya yeh sab temporary hype hai? Bahut confusion hai. Have others seen such crazy rent hikes in South Delhi?

Yaar, you're not alone. I'm also seeing this crazy trend in Greater Kailash. My broker was showing me a 2BHK that was 45k last year, now they're asking 60k! It's insane. We're also first-time buyers, and the thought of paying such high rents while saving for a downpayment is just demotivating. Lagta hai abhi rent pe hi rehna padega for a long time.
