posted on 10 MaySterling Ascentia owners: how's the build holding up?
Just took possession of my Sterling Ascentia unit last month. Already seeing minor cracks and fitting issues, which is frustrating. As an investor, I'm worried about these early maintenance costs affecting my ROI. Will this impact tenant attraction or future resale? What's your experience with initial quality?

Hmm, Sterling has a mixed reputation from what I've heard. Some of their older projects are okay, but I heard from a broker friend that Ascentia had some delays initially. Quality issues early on can be tough to fix later. Is it structural, U1, or just finishing work?
Oh no, minor cracks already? This is a huge red flag, especially for a project in the ₹2.1 Cr – ₹2.6 Cr range. My friend booked in another project near Aavalahalli and faced similar issues with a different builder – shoddy plumbing and electricals right after handover. Initial quality is so important for first-time buyers like us, we don't have experience dealing with these things.
Hearing this makes me so nervous. After spending 2.1 Cr+ for a flat, the last thing you want is immediate repair costs.
Totally agree, U5. Ye builders ka common tactic hai. They promise the world, then deliver shoddy work. Bengaluru market mein quality control ka issue bahut hai, especially with the rush to complete projects. My cousin had issues with a flat in Adigara Kallahalli for the same reason.
Possession? Are you sure, bhai? Isn't Sterling Ascentia still under construction? My understanding was the RERA possession date is 2026-09-01. Did they give you an early handover or is there some confusion?
Haan, U2 is right. The RERA number PRM/KA/RERA/1251/446/PR/171026/000563 clearly states possession as 2026-09-01. Maybe U1 means something else by 'possession', like perhaps a site visit or some initial paperwork? Because if actual possession was given, that's a huge deviation from the RERA timeline.
Exactly! I checked the RERA too, U2. This is so confusing, yaar. Builder log aise kaise bol sakte hain 'possession' when it's clearly not the official date? My budget is already stretched, I can't afford such surprises.
