Struggling to decide on moving my family to Ghorpuri
Ghorpuri Lines keeps coming up in my search, but I'm hesitant. We need at least a 3BHK around ₹1.2Cr, and my wife's priority is kids' school admission nearby. Is the neighbourhood genuinely safe for the children, or should we look elsewhere?

Did you check any specific project in Ghorpuri Lines yet, ya abhi tak sirf online listings dekhi hain?
I visited one small standalone building near the railway tracks there last Sunday. The noise of train horns was constant, and my wife straight away said no. Abhi bhi confused hoon whether to wait or shift search to Anand Nagar side.
If budget is strictly 1.2Cr and you want kid-friendly societies, why not look towards Sinhagad Road or even Ambegaon Budruk? My cousin bought a spacious 3BHK near Sinhagad Road last year under 1.1Cr with proper amenities. You get proper gated communities where children can actually play freely downstairs without traffic fear. School options like Podar and Sinhagad Spring Dale are also very close by. Ghorpuri feels too congested for small kids in my personal opinion.
Bro honestly check Amanora Park Town instead once. It has in-campus schools like Pawar Public School, so kids don't even need to step out on busy roads. Budget might stretch a bit for 3BHK, but peace of mind is worth it na?
Sahi keh rahe ho, Amanora is totally overpriced right now. Even I looked there and got scared seeing the maintenance bills and crowded towers.
Amanora me 1.2Cr me 3BHK milna impossible hai abhi. Wahan decent 2BHK hi 95L touch kar raha hai basic cost pe.
Kids' safety is my biggest tension too yaar. My office colleague told me Ghorpuri railway crossing creates crazy traffic jams, especially during school van hours. A lot of heavy army vehicles move around Cantonment border roads too, so kids cycling outside is practically impossible. But on the positive side, St. Vincent's and St. Mary's are quite nearby if you manage to secure admission. Still, the narrow inner roads give me major anxiety every single day.
1.2Cr for a 3BHK in Ghorpuri? Bhai mujhe toh thoda tight lag raha hai budget. Is this an older resale flat or a new launch?
Haan bilkul, current Pune market rates around Koregaon Park and Ghorpuri border are touching 8500 to 10000 per sqft easily. New launches toh bilkul out of reach ho gaye hain hum jaise first-timers ke liye.
I checked two resale flats near Ghorpuri Lines last month. Both were asking 1.35Cr minimum without parking charges, aur maintenance bhi high tha. With stamp duty and registration, it easily crosses 1.45Cr, which totally broke my budget.
