Struggling with Ameerpet's family appeal for our 3BHK
Ameerpet's central location is tempting, but I'm really unsure about its family-friendliness. We need a 3BHK now; the kids are growing, so upgrading is urgent. My wife's main priority is a safe environment and good schools nearby for admissions next year. I've heard Ameerpet is super bustling, but is it actually safe for children outside? What's the real daily life like there for families? Are there decent parks or green spaces? We're looking at a budget around ₹1.5 Cr, maybe stretching to ₹1.8 Cr for a good 3BHK. We saw a few older buildings, but safety and school quality are huge concerns. Any parents living there who can share their experience about schools, safety, and the overall vibe? Is it just too chaotic for a family or am I overthinking it?

My sister-in-law lives in Ameerpet, and while she loves the convenience, safety for kids is a genuine concern, especially after dark. Parks toh bhool jao, unless you count the small ones tucked away. For schools, they had to put their kids in a school in Begumpet, which means a daily commute of 45 mins one way. Imagine that for young kids! My advice would be to look at areas with proper residential planning, even if it means slightly compromising on the 'central' aspect. Your kids' well-being is paramount.
So true! Schools are the main priority for families.
This is exactly my fear. Daily commute for schools is a huge deal. Begumpet is well-known for good schools but the traffic between Ameerpet and Begumpet can be brutal.
Ameerpet mein ₹1.8 Cr mein naya 3BHK mil raha hai kya? Mostly old buildings hi dikhte hain.
Haan, naye projects Ameerpet ke main areas mein mushkil hain. Jo hain bhi, they're usually redevelopments of old plots, so space is a premium. Price per sqft has shot up like crazy in the last 2 years across Hyderabad, even in older areas. For ₹1.8 Cr, you might get a decent 1200-1400 sqft 3BHK in a slightly older building, but for a brand new one with good amenities, you're looking at ₹2 Cr+. Even in Banjara Hills, prices are insane.
Naya construction bohot kam hai, jo hai woh high-rise apartments hain. Usme bhi ₹1.8 Cr mein agar mil bhi gaya toh size chhota hoga aur amenities limited. Builders are mostly focusing on commercial or smaller 2BHKs there.
Dekho, Ameerpet ka connectivity factor is unmatched. Metro hai, bus hai, sab kuch haath ke paas hai. Maybe specific lanes ya gated communities mein dekho? My friend lives near Satyam Theatre, it's busy but their building is good, kids play inside compound. Schools ka toh I agree, thoda research karna padega.
Honestly, Ameerpet for a family? I'd seriously reconsider. It's great for bachelors or coaching students, but for kids? Traffic, noise, aur green spaces toh almost zero hain. My cousin tried living there with two young kids and moved out to Attapur within a year. School admissions in good schools will be tough from there, and daily commute will be a nightmare. ₹1.5-1.8 Cr mein you can find much better, quieter options in areas like Alwal or even some pockets of Begumpet if you stretch a bit.
Begumpet mein 1.8 Cr mein 3BHK milna mushkil hai bhai, especially a good one.
Totally agree with this. Ameerpet is more for commercial activity now. Schools ke liye to you need proper residential areas. Alwal is a good suggestion, heard good things about schools there.
Yaar, I'm also looking for a 3BHK in Hyderabad and Ameerpet ka naam aata hai but then the crowd. Same thoughts, kids ke liye safety aur schools ka tension. Mera budget bhi similar hai, ₹1.6 Cr tak ja sakta hu. Bahut confused hu.
