Tax benefits are a distraction, not real savings.

Okay I'll be honest — I thought tax benefits would make a bigger dent in our EMI, but it feels like peanuts. We're upgrading to a 3BHK in Ghaziabad, probably Vasundhara or Indirapuram, for the kids' school. My wife's priority is safety and a good neighbourhood. Looking at places around ₹90L-₹1Cr, the Section 24 and 80C savings seem so small compared to the total loan and interest. Everyone talks about these 'tax hacks' but are they really that significant for middle-class buyers? Or are we just getting distracted from the actual high costs? I'm honestly not sure if it's even worth the mental math. Change my mind.
