Been renting 7 years, honestly fed up. Landlord hiked rent again. Finally buying a 2BHK near Dwarka Expressway. Beyond 80C/24, what tax benefits truly make EMI vs rent math better for first-time buyers in Gurgaon?

Dwarka Expressway is booming, no doubt, but be careful with builder delays there. Bahut projects stuck hain. Make sure you check the builder's RERA track record properly. Possession status aur construction quality pe poora focus rakhna, warna tax benefit bhi kaam nahi aayega if you're stuck paying EMI and rent both.
Sahi keh rahe ho. Builder ka track record toh bahut
Bhai, totally relate! Rent increases are just insane now. Dwarka Expressway is a good choice, connectivity is improving. Beyond the usual 80C and 24B, I've heard about Section 80EEA for affordable housing. Does that apply to everyone or only specific income groups? And what about Stamp Duty exemption for women buyers in Gurgaon, is that still a thing?
U7, yes, 80EEA is specifically for first-time buyers, and the loan has to be sanctioned between April 2019 and March 2022. The additional deduction is indeed up to ₹1.5 lakh, provided the property is affordable. For properties above 45 lakhs, it won't apply. I missed out on it because my property value was slightly higher, which was a bummer.
Oh, 45 lakhs limit? Mera budget toh usse thoda upar ja raha hai. But 80EEA for first-time buyers only hai na? Aur uski limit kitni hoti hai?
Haan bilkul, 80EEA is a lifesaver for first-time buyers, it gives an additional deduction of up to 1.5 lakh on interest paid on home loans. But yeah, there are conditions, like the property value shouldn't exceed 45 lakhs. Stamp duty for women is definitely a benefit, my sister got a small discount when she registered her flat in Bahadurgarh, so Gurgaon mein bhi hona chahiye.
