The hidden maintenance reality at Ansal Aastha
₹3,200 monthly maintenance for a non-working elevator is ridiculous. Kids have moved out, so we're finalizing the resale of our old house to find something manageable. Visited Ansal Aastha Mig Zone last week thinking it'd be peaceful for our retirement in Rajkot, but the reality is shocking. The brochure promised 24/7 elevator backup and tight security, but one lift was dead on the 2nd floor... actually wait, a resident told me it's been down for weeks. With my wife's joint pain, stairs aren't an option. Paying steep maintenance charges for zero upkeep makes no sense bhai. Have other buyers faced this issue here, or is RWA doing anything?

I checked the RERA portal just now, and the registration number is UPRERAPRJ5670. The project is marked completed, but RERA registration won't help once possession happened in 2022 and handover was done. Did you manage to talk to the RWA president directly about why the repair work is stalled?
I tried asking a resident near the entrance gate when I visited. He said the builder handed over pending corpus funds late, and half the owners are investors who never pay maintenance on time. As someone looking to buy their very first flat, hearing these internal politics makes me terrified of putting token money anywhere.
Bhai, ₹3,200 maintenance Sunke hi heart attack aa gaya! We are stretching every single rupee from our provident fund just to gather the down payment, and ongoing costs like this would ruin us.
Wait, ₹3,200 per month for a ₹29 L to ₹30 L apartment is crazy high! In Rajkot right now, average maintenance for low-rise or MIG projects rarely crosses ₹1,500 unless there is a swimming pool and massive clubhouse. Why are they charging so much if basic services are broken?
Exactly what I was wondering. One broker told me the project got possession back in June 2022, so it is fully completed, but RWA management seems messy. For our first purchase, unexpected monthly costs like this will completely disturb our loan EMI calculations.
Oh god, thank goodness I saw this post. We are looking for our first home on a strict budget under 30 lakhs and had Ansal Aastha Mig Zone on our shortlist. Is the lift genuinely down for weeks across all blocks, or just that specific tower? My mother also has knee troubles and this would be a total nightmare for us.
I checked out the project last weekend for my family, and yes, Block B lift was definitely switched off. The guard told me maintenance fee collection is poor, so service contract renew nahi hua. We got so scared hearing that, especially since this is our hard-earned savings.
