The real pain of under-construction delays in Gurugram

What's the real story with possession delays from builders like Shree Vardhman? My 2BHK in New Gurugram was supposed to be ready 1.5 years ago, but it's still stuck. Paying EMI and rent is draining me. Is ready-to-move always better, even with higher prices? My parents keep saying I made a mistake.
