Metro connectivity around Sector 48 really confuses me. I'm currently in a 2BHK in Phase 7, Mohali, but eyeing a 3BHK here. Is the proposed metro extension going to make a real difference for daily commute? What's the actual travel time to Chandigarh these days, especially with peak hour traffic? Honestly not sure if the promised infrastructure will ever materialise.

So after all this discussion, what's the general consensus? Is it worth buying in Sector
See, the metro will eventually come, but don't buy solely for that. Focus on current commute options and the builder's reputation. I made that mistake with a project near Baliawas, and waited years for promised amenities and connectivity. Sector 48 has good existing connectivity to Sohna Road and NH48 anyway, so it's not entirely dependent on the metro. Check the builder's RERA compliance too.
Forget metro, have you even checked the prices for 3BHK in Sector 48 lately? They've shot up like crazy in the last 6 months. My budget for a 3BHK near Basai was already stretched, now this area is almost out of question for me. Market conditions are just too volatile.
Bhai, this whole metro thing is a joke in Gurugram. My friend bought near Badshahpur last year hoping for the metro, abhi tak kuch nahi hua. Sector 48 ka bhi same haal hoga. Don't fall for these marketing gimmicks. Focus on what's available now.
Exactly! My daily commute from my current place to Cyber Hub is already 1.5 hours. Agar Sector 48 mein bhi same traffic raha, toh metro ke bina toh impossible hai. I'm really nervous about making such a big financial commitment without solid infrastructure.
Sahi keh rahe ho. Metro extension ka kaam bahut slow hai. But I heard from a property agent that the tender for the SPR line, which might connect near Sector 48, is finally moving. Fingers crossed for some progress.

Haan, metro ka plan toh hai, but dates keep shifting. But if you look at the master plan, it will eventually connect to key hubs. Just don't expect it next year. My brother bought near Baharampur Naya, unko bhi bola tha 2 saal mein metro, ab 5 ho gaye.
Totally agree with the confusion! Builder log toh bas sapne dikhate hain. Metro ka toh pata nahi kab aayega, investment phans jayegi lagta hai.
Bhai, pehle toh clarify karo, you mean Sector 48 in Gurgaon or Mohali? Agar Gurgaon hai, toh Chandigarh travel time ka kya relevance? Metro ka toh pata nahi, but current traffic here is a nightmare, especially near Subhash Chowk. Don't rely on future promises for daily commute. I've been stuck near Airport Road for hours.
