Two months after moving to KR Puram, huge regrets
Did a site visit to check pending society work last weekend after getting possession in KR Puram two months ago. Everyone glorifies Krishnarajapuram metro corridor, but ground reality bilkul alag hai. Narrow access roads and crazy tanker mafia koi nahi batata. Paid ₹88L for this 2BHK, par BWSSB connection ka door tak pata nahi... monthly tanker bills are already ₹4,500. Metro proximity ke chakkar mein hidden risks ignore mat karo. Disagree? Tell me why.

Yeh sun kar sab nervous ho gaye hain, par is there any update from your RWA meeting this week about tankers rationing? What happened next after you raised this with the builder team?
Reading your post made my heart sink because I almost gave a token advance of 2L for a ready-to-move unit near TC Palya main road yesterday. The sales team assured me that water problem solves in 3 months once municipal line starts running. Par now I feel they just say whatever it takes to close the deal before financial year end. Did you talk to your apartment association about digging another borewell, ya permissions are blocked there too?
Sach mein, it feels like gambling your life savings. Ab toh lagta hai renting is so much safer than taking a 20-year home loan headache.
Jaise aapne poocha about digging borewells, let me tell you permission right now in BBMP east zone is next to impossible. Ground water table has dropped below 1200 feet in many spots, aur borewell fail hone ka 1.5 lakh ka loss seedha flat owners par padta hai. I visited Akshayanagar side too looking for projects, but everywhere people are just praying for early monsoon.
Did you check with the builder if the Cauvery water pipeline deposit was paid to BWSSB before possession? Ya fir society handover ke time unhone silently bypass kar diya?
Exactly, aur agar builder ne OC le liya without proper water clearance, tab toh RERA mein complain karne par bhi months nikal jaate hain. Hum jaise log loan interest bhare ya legal notice ka kharcha uthaye, samajh hi nahi aata.
Generally these builders take NOC showing applied status, par actual water line sanction nahi hota until the entire layout is formally handed over. I saw a similar mess when I visited a resale flat in Aishwarya Crystal Layout last month. Builder ne bol diya society will manage, and now owners are running behind authorities while tanker owners dictate daily rates.
88 lakhs for 2BHK and still paying 4500 for basic paani... this is exactly my nightmare. Aajkal Bengaluru market mein builders bas metro connectivity pitch karke 7500 per sqft charge kar rahe hain, par basic civic infrastructure zero hai. My maximum budget is 75L all inclusive, and now I feel even that won't get me peace of mind anywhere near east Bengaluru.
Hearing this scares me so much yaar, main bhi KR Puram side hi shortlisting kar raha tha! Is the tanker issue specific to your pocket or pure area mein yahi scene chal raha hai?
Haan bilkul, mere dost ne bhi bataya tha. Cauvery phase 5 promises are there on paper, but ground level pipes connect hone mein pata nahi kitne saal lagenge.
Bhai mostly across that belt yahi haal hai, especially if the project is slightly inside from the main road. Meri cousin booked in Aavalahalli nearby, unka borewell dried up within six months of moving in and maintenance skyrocketed to 7k per month. It is terrifying for first-time buyers like us who calculate every single rupee of monthly EMI.
