Bought a plot in New Chandigarh 2 years back, paid 6% stamp duty. Now eyeing a secondary market 3BHK at ₹1.2 Cr. That stamp duty component is huge! For new Ambika Realcon projects, it's clear. But for resale, are sellers open to under-valuing for registration to save stamp duty? Or is that too risky now for ROI?

Yaar, ye stamp duty is such a killer! ₹1.2 Cr ka 3BHK, usme 6-7% extra? That's almost 7-8 lakh just for registration! My budget is already stretched thin, this component just makes it feel impossible. Is there really no way around it for resale properties?
Exactly! Yeh stamp duty hi toh saara budget bigaad deti hai. Lagta hai rental pe hi rehna padega aur kuch saal.
