posted on 7 MayVipul Orchid Square amenities are mostly for show
Just moved into Vipul Orchid Square last month, and honestly, still figuring things out. The apartment layout is great, good carpet area efficiency, but I'm having mixed feelings about the amenities. The pool is decent, but the gym equipment feels a bit basic for the price. Not sure if it's genuinely good to live in daily, or if the brochures just made it look better. What's the community vibe like long-term? Anyone else feel some amenities are just for show? Should I expect maintenance to improve?

Honestly, Vipul Orchid Square ka location is prime, that's what you're really paying for. Plus, when it was new (around 2007), it was considered quite premium. The apartment layouts are truly efficient. But I agree, maintenance can be a headache with any older society, and amenities are usually the first to suffer. It's a trade-off many buyers make for the established location and bigger carpet area.
U5, you're right about the location, but what's the point if the daily living experience is compromised? My cousin bought a flat in an older society in Badshahpur a few years back, and they're constantly fighting with the RWA over basic repairs. The gym equipment is rusty, and the swimming pool is often closed for 'maintenance' that never seems to finish. It's exhausting. For the kind of money we're talking about here, even for
₹3.5 Cr – ₹11.5 Cr? Ye 2BHK ke liye hai ya 3BHK? Budget se bahar hai yaar!
Totally relate! My friend checked out Vipul Orchid Square last year and said exactly the same thing about the gym and pool. For a project in the ₹3.5 Cr – ₹11.5 Cr range, you expect top-notch facilities, not 'decent' or 'basic'. It feels like they focused on the initial look rather than long-term utility. It's a big investment, yaar.
Bhai, for a project from 2007, and with these amenity issues, do you think the resale value justifies the price tag of ₹3.5 Cr – ₹11.5 Cr? It's a huge range!
Sahi keh rahe ho. This is a common problem with older projects, especially those from around the 2007 possession date era. Builders often cut corners on amenity quality to save costs, thinking buyers will be swayed by the overall look. We faced similar issues with a project near Airport Road (Gurgaon side). Initially, everything looked grand, but within a few years, the equipment started failing, and the maintenance staff was just not equipped to handle it. The community vibe also takes a hit when basic promises aren't met. So, I completely agree with your point about long-term utility.
