Just moved into my Ansal Sushant City flat last month, and yaar, parking ka scene kuch aur hi hai. Builder ne bola tha allocated parking, but yahan toh visitor parking ka lottery system chalta hai. Things nobody tells you! Is this common in Chandigarh? My friend at Omaxe Gardenia Floors is already worried about their final parking allocation too, even for paid covered spots. How do you guys verify parking promises beyond just the brochure? Should I have gotten it in writing more specifically? Hope this helps someone avoid a similar headache.

This is so frustrating! So what's the actual legal standing here? If the brochure says 'allocated parking' but the agreement just says 'parking space', does RERA protect us? Or should we only trust what's explicitly written in the sale deed itself? I'm signing papers next month for a place near Manimajra.
Totally relate! My cousin bought in Omaxe New Chandigarh, and unko bhi parking ke liye aise hi ghumaya. Pehle bola basement, phir ground floor, finally unko open parking mili woh bhi 'first come first serve' basis pe. Builder agreement mein toh sirf 'parking space' likha hota hai, specific location ya type mention nahin karte. I wish I had pushed for more clarity back then. Yeh toh common scam lagta hai builders ka.
My friend actually fought a similar case with another builder in Mohali. Turns out, if the builder has *charged* you for an allocated parking spot, it *has* to be specifically mentioned in the sale deed with its unique identifier. If it's just 'common area parking', then they can allocate it how they see fit. Always check if you're being charged separately for 'parking' or if it's part of the overall super built-up area.
Did your cousin take any action against Omaxe for that? Or just accepted it?
Haan bilkul, same story with my uncle's flat in Saini Majra. Promised ample visitor parking, but now it's a free-for-all, blocking main entry points. It's a huge safety concern too.
Oh god, this is exactly what I'm scared of! We're looking at a flat in New Chandigarh, builder ne bhi bola hai dedicated parking, but I've heard so many horror stories. Ansal Sushant City mein toh kaafi purane projects hain, agar unme bhi yeh haal hai toh naye waalon ka kya hoga? How do we even cross-verify these things before signing?
Sahi keh rahe ho. My friend faced similar issues in a project near Rasulpur. They promised two-wheeler parking and then said 'only one per flat' after possession. It's always a battle.
Exactly! I'm looking at Omaxe Gardenia too, and this post is making me super nervous. How did you verify the parking details for your project?
