Visited a couple of projects in Pocket K last weekend. Fed up of renting yaar, finally thought of taking the plunge. EMI vs rent math made sense, but abhi toh lag raha hai it's a trap. Builder ne jo maintenance charges aur RWA fund ke baare mein bola tha, that's not matching up. Brochure mein kuch aur tha, ab they're asking for extra lakhs for 2 years advance maintenance and RWA setup. Is this normal? And what about RWA effectiveness in Pocket K? Anyone else faced this?

Yes, this is becoming common. Did they show you any RERA clause or a separate document for these charges? Usually, maintenance is charged annually, not 2 years advance. Which project is this in Pocket K? Knowing the builder might help.
They showed some small print in the agreement, but it was so vague, not specific to '2 years advance maintenance.' No RERA clause specifically mentioning this. It's a project by 'Green
Bhai, this is exactly what happened to me in Ahinsa Khand II! Builders ka toh ye naya scam hai. Brochure mein kuch aur, site pe kuch aur. Totally normal, unfortunately.
So is there any way to fight this? Or just pay up?
Exactly! Mera friend Abhay Khand mein le raha tha, wahan bhi same scene. They show you a glossy brochure, but the actual costs are always higher. It's like they budget for these 'surprises'.
