My current lease in Zirakpur ends in 2 months. Landlord wants a massive 25% hike, honestly feels crazy given the last two years. Is this rent increase normal across Chandigarh? I'm a young professional, thinking of shifting to Mohali (maybe Sector 70) or even New Chandigarh for better value. What areas are best for convenience vs. price for someone like me? Not sure if these rents will ever stabilize.

Totally feel your pain, yaar! My landlord in Zirakpur also tried to pull a similar stunt last month, though not quite 25%. It's like they've all suddenly decided to cash in. I ended up moving to a slightly smaller place in Sector 68, Mohali. Rent is still high but manageable. Zirakpur toh ab out of budget lag raha hai.
