Gulmohar, often known as Gulmohar park, is an area in South Delhi. The area lies between Hauz Khas and Gautam Nagar and is named for the Gulmohar trees that flourish there. The colony is around 43 acres and has thirteen parks inside. Gulmohar is a posh area of South Delhi with the likes of Amitab Bachan's residence in the area. Additionally, the area serves residents for top journalists, lawyers, and businessmen. It is a gated community with good connectivity.

There are four blocks, a police post, a resident's club, and a Delhi Development Authority (DDA) market. There is a club that includes sports facilities, a gym, a swimming pool, and a restaurant. A new elevated corridor is underconstruction to ease out the traffic congestion. The first mall of this area has started with it's construction. New apartments are being constructed by DDA that includes 3BHKs also. MCD’s plan to build city’s tallest building scrapped after the merger in close vicinity to Gulmohar Park.

The area is near the ring road and connects with other areas in Delhi via Balbir Saxena Marg and Sri Aurobindo Marg. Gulmohar is also well-connected via the metro. The closest metro is the Green Metro station, which is the yellow line. Local Delhi transport buses needs enhancement.

There are prestigious educational institutes such as the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Vardhman Mahavir Medical College, and the National Institute of Fashion Technology.

There are also tourist points nearby. Siri Fort Auditorium, NCUI Auditorium, and Convention Centre are a few examples.

As this is a well-planned neighborhood and a gated community, it is safe to travel at night in this locality. There are reports of rape and one account of muder in Gulmohar.

As the area has 13 public parks, they are well-maintained.
